Globally Recognized, Indonesia’s Golden Visa Discussed at the 18th Global Citizenship Conference in Singapore
The Golden Visa policy plays a crucial role in attracting foreign investment and international talents to support sustainable economic growth in Indonesia. This was conveyed by Deputy Minister of Immigration and Immigration Affairs (Wamen Imipas), Silmy Karim, during discussions on investment migration with various countries in Singapore from November 27-29. With Indonesia’s potential as one of the world’s largest economies in the coming years, the Golden Visa is increasingly drawing international attention.
“The Golden Visa policy is strategically designed to attract high-value investors and global talent to Indonesia. In its formulation process, we identified the need to make Indonesia more competitive in the global investment landscape while creating tangible benefits for the local economy. Our vision aims in two directions: first, to better accommodate investment migration with the goal of facilitating investors and providing extended residency permits, and second, to encourage sustainable investment in strategic sectors such as property, technology, digital economy, renewable energy, and other priority sectors,” said Deputy Minister Silmy.
The Golden Visa policy was carefully designed to meet the needs of both investors and global talent while boosting Indonesia’s economy. This program is aligned with Indonesia’s development priorities, including strengthening the presence of global talent and infrastructure development.
